| All of our carbon frames are designed with an Oversized Downtube. This is designed with one function in mind, speed. The way this works is, during pedalling you bike has many different stress areas, the more flexible these areas are the more power is lost and less power is transferred to the rear wheel. Having an Oversized downtube makes the whole frame stiffer and more responsive meaning that you get maximum power transfer the rear wheel. |

| UDC stands for Uni-Direction Carbon. Uni-Directional Carbon fibre is the term used for how the carbon fibre strands are laid on the frame. Depending on the way that the carbon is wrapped changes the way the frame feels and rides. For Kovert we chose UDC as it offers excellent rigidity which means that when you put the power down through the pedals there is an excellent amount of power transfered to the rear wheel which means less wasted effort. UDC still has just enough flex to allow the bike to absorb some of the vibration from the road enabling you to ride for longer periods. |
